Birthday: 1953 (Quilpie, Queensland, Australia)

In addition to extensive credits for both stage and screen, Justine has also been involved with the playwright community, co-directing the first National Black Playwrights Conference, in 1987.

Justine was awarded the Aboriginal Artist of the Year Award in 1985, and in 1999 she received the Red Ochre Award. Selected by ATSIAB, the $50,000 award is presented annually to an Indigenous Australian artist who has made an outstanding contribution to the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and cultures, both nationally and internationally.
